passed IPT grade 3! busy busy quarter

just passed my reservist year's IPT-grade 3 for cat X !! 

WOOHOO dam happy like blithe-mode is on rite now dude ty GOD!!

for me it's considered a sense of achievement to be able to give everything i've got during a whole month of prep up till today. it's not a super high standard test but considering d majority of my time is spent working in an office as a civilian, it's just difficult using w/e free time i have simply to stay in shape(IPPT style) when my passion is to have a good-looking body w/ functionality instead of full-on functionality at d expense of physique. reason is simple, i'm juz 1.71m or 5"7 so unlike those taller guys who can afford to do both, i can only focus on one. 

talking abt this i kinda admire those "California/FitnessFirst" fitness instructors cuz they can easily drive thru a pass or silver IPPT standard since their work requirements alone already keep their heart rate above any of us office drones. dat's nt even including fine diet & nutrition etc lol. but oh well dat's life enuf ranting abt this imma see how i can go abt making d most use out of wad i have in this area!!

ops manning till April 2nd! urgh.. our entire battalion r now on standby cuz rumours have it dat we might be activated on 23rd, 29th or 30th of March for field pack inspection & weapon-handling tests etc. almost done packing it but from wad i hear & have seen, d field-pack inspections' usually not strict since d main point is to test if all of us can arrive on time & scan our names. wad i'm hoping for tho, is dat we don't have to be called back cuz it's gonna be so inconvenient due to work & all. fingers crossed man!!

BUSY BUSY! plate's so full atm but i'm beyond any doubt contented to land employment in a somewhat fun environment & getting a consistent monthly pay check dat may see rise soon. boss & manager's lenient & understanding as well too! definitely better than sitting home playing computer games all day & earning F***** ZERO income like a bloody childish parasite dat i was last time. but it's k cuz winners & losers both make mistakes, juz dat winners get back up again! i wanna be dat winner in life! not there yet for sure but better to keep trying than be on d couch w/ "what ifs" floating ard my decaying self. dat's d disadvantage of starting out being a gamer. if u dun make it big or lack discipline, u completely turn into a waste of society seeking only pleasure for urself & living in delusion forever. tk God for saving me from this life.

weekend faster come!! UFC 158, 22 March's WWE Smackdown, latest 2 episodes of Spartacus season 3 & a few other movies r waiting for me to savour!!!!!!!! dammit totally loving/hating this positive lifestyle dat i'm embarking on at d expense of enjoying all these shows haha.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2013 was a blast!

Alberto Del Rio's star power is truly authentic. goes to show dat size doesn't mean everything when it comes to championships. hopefully Big Show & any other future contenders can learn & take some tips from him. 

 The Shield is simply fantastic.. a real desired introduction into a new breed of entertainers for d fans! i definitely love watching their fast-paced yet strategic yet charismatic yet dynamic yet many more attributes dat many superstars can only perform once in a while. but these guys do it like a norm! impressive would be a total understatement here imo. good job to d talent acquisition or whoever's in charge!

ok so juz had my first full-on facial session at New York Skin Solutions Plaza Sing outlet. paid like $300 for a 4-time treatment package. they said it's actually $330 for one ala carte so i kinda made quite a profit consumer-wise. seems pretty legit actually i feel my whole face being mended, reconditioned & expunged of them nasty lil' blackheads & acne/scars. this supervisor called Serene has definitely given me a satisfactory & outta-this-world experience! hope she'll get rewarded loads for her diligent & prolific work.

in fact i tink i'm not d only one who feels d same way even tho we have different skin issues. check it out here !

i recently watched Ah Boys to Men I.. a trilogy movie directed by Jack Neo. i used to dismiss d notion of even watching it but after checking out d reviews & what not.. i decided to give it a try & to my amazement, i became a believer! yup definitely gotta go catch part II when i have time & maybe by then part III would be out? lol.. i guess it would be safe to call Jack Neo d Singapore-Steven Spielberg =)

i reckon d reason y it's such a successful hit is cuz d movie is just so exceptionally crafted in a way dat it strikingly relates to everyone of all ages & dat it contains so much substance. tends to bring out d patriotic spirit in a guy for sure. now i definitely wudn't mind paying even $20 a tix just for this movie! haha alrite time for bed eyes tearing so bad.

a medium-budget production yet able to draw out a variety of emotions from d crowd

sensational! i'd give it 4.5/5 stars!

got some bonding sessions to show d LAPD aren't juz workaholics but also humans.

got d crime scenes up, props masterfully placed too!

anyway d recent WWE Raw was rather interesting. i'm liking this new Jack Swagger! he seems invigorated, focused & ready to move on to d top after having taken a break. who knows they could prepare him for a battle against Brock Lesnar in d near future but it'll prolly take a long period of brewing & planning to achieve dat match up haha

so i wanted to blog about a particular issue ytd but was too spent to even play a game, much less do up another page on my diary. but tk God for Jasmine for being such a caring listening ear.. dunno wad i'll do without close friends who really understand.

so let's begin w/ a few easy questions..

did he pay a cent when my mum got her own house? nope. my mum did.

did he pay a cent for hospitalisation bills when my sister was given birth? nope. my mum did.

did he fulfill his promise of returning my mum d millions of dollars he owed, which is d least he could do? nope

all that could be forgiven yes, already has been. so when he was released, we tried to accept him, but even in the process of acceptance, he had returned to his old self of cheating & fabrication. took our house key on first visit to our home & duplicated it w/out our knowledge. changed my mum's spare laptop background to one of her guy friends & said "nah use this better wad.. ur lover wad etc" & all that crap which i tot would only be done by an adolescent. outright abuse of my mum's goodwill & kind-heartedness. he even had the cheek to expect/demand reconciliation? holy shit ever heard of d saying "haven't learn to walk, already want to fly"? & these r not all that he has committed AFTER coming out of his 9-year imprisonment. i tink if lee hsien loong knew wad he REALLY did, he wouldn't have given any award to dat corrupted loser. he'll prolly have extended his term to lifelong.

well i'll be damned to call him dad.. i'd much rather call him my mum's ex husband, rightfully divorced animal in pen & paper. in fact, anyone of my mum's suitors before Stephen Ho would make a better husband than him. how can one person be so full of lies & schemes despite having been to prison on a few separate occasions, with the 3rd being 9 years on account of the judge's leniency? put it plainly, i'm embarrassed to be his sperm really. but then again, our future is not dependant on our past.

back from first day of CNY visitation! this year isn't too populous cuz one of my uncle passed away recently so their family had to go overseas on a vacation as they can't do visitation for abt one-three new years. dat's ok cuz i'm happy to meet them all always. they may not be Christians, yet my relatives r consistently there to help my mum in time of need so tk God for them really.. i'll always be grateful & that will never fade. hope they'll continue to have a long & happy life ahead too! perhaps one day i'll be able to do them proud by being extremely successful myself so their efforts in taking care of us dun go to waste.

left w/ 48 hours of public holiday, i must be sure to rest & recover fully so i have adequate energy to grind thru d days into d next available p.h. cheers!

Weekend Rest Fully Utilized . UFC 156

this weekend has been an absolute satisfaction for my mind, body & spirit!

employed naps at every instant where i felt a tad bit of fatigue. a much needed Saturday to recover from a week-long of endurance! now i feel rejuvenated to take on another week of challenges yup! my bank of energy will prolly dwindle by Wednesday but it's k cuz i have my "teh o ping, more sweet" to get me going! haha

anyway first up! got d L'Oreal Men Expert Vita Lift Eye as recommended by a reliable source yay! by rite it should be $27.90 but Guardian Health & Beauty had a discount so i juz had to snag it up. this should help treat my panda eye bags, after a week at least i reckon!

nvr really believed in lip balm but since my lips keep drying up recently due to prolonged hrs in air-conditioned places, i had to clinch this superbly affordable $3.50 Simply MEN Lip Balm SPF 20. couldn't find d suggested L’Occitane Ultra Rich Lip Balm tho. hope i won't have any side-effect reactions to this! lol

ok d reason y i had to buy this NIVEA Invisible Protection Transparent Spray SPF 50 instead of d commended Laneige Homme Leports Sun Block SPF50+ was due to multiple reasons. d rest r for kids & others dun seem so user-friendly or don some kinda odour. since this had pretty good reviews from d UK, i guess it isn't a bad substitute yup. i like getting tanned or being under d sun sometimes but not unevenly & it should only be when i'm exercising, not travelling. so.. i've acted on my predetermined intent of acquiring some kinda sunblock.. ALAS! hehe..

what pricked at me tho, was that i couldn't find d Mentholatum for Men Charcoal Face Wash(d $7.50 one) anywhere. they only had d normal $3.50 one which didn't have Charcoal on it so i didn't dare to try since it's my first time & i'd really appreciate doing it right. of cuz there was NIVEA, Neutrogena & GARNIER brands for charcoal face-wash but i better experiment on such w/out real proper instruction imo. hope i can get it soon or i might have to see a skin clinic in d near future. mine is prolly not juz normal breakout or rashes but rather, some faint form of rosacea or seborrhoeic dermatitis. when i was in nsf d MO used to give me this mild hydrocortisone to apply but i've run out argh!

also bought a neat Hugo Boss Night cologne from British Essential. i'll have to skip on d Tommy Hilfiger one for now! hmm.. hope all of these r a highly profitable investment =)

UFC 156's main event was a freaking disappointment between d announced scoring of Frankie Edgar & Jose Aldo. it was so bloody obvious that Frankie Edgar is the NEW 145lbs champion. those judges should be fired & have d result reversed really. absolute horror to watch d belt being retained on Aldo when he didnt earn it this time. didn't they take into account Frankie's endurance for pain? his endurance for pain is at least 5 times higher than Jose Aldo & dat's y he doesn't mind getting hit. he moved at d same pace in d 4th & 5th round as he did in d 1st despite d damage dealt to him as compared to Jose Aldo's slowing movements from d 3rd round onward. doesn't that mean anything? d fragility on d bones in his face doesn't equate to his threshold & tolerance from being able to think, react & continue fighting at a high level.

i bet d judges didn't think abt how Frankie feigned a take-down once in round 4 & pushed Aldo against d cage so he could knee Aldo's right hamstrings freely. primary objective accomplished. did d judges not take this into account as well?

d cameras were so distinctly biased by hiding majority of shots done by Edgar too. they should really re-review the damn match & give d belt to Frankie Edgar. it's so detestably unfair especially in this instance that i dun tink it's worth watching another UFC event until d blasted judges have their families burned alive for ruining an entire man's family, friends & training partners because they were just too lazy to use their freaking brains to evaluate & figure out who really won. poor Dana having to live with those parasites.

so ytd, a fren & i managed to catch d movie "Gangster Squad" all tks to my generous colleagues & team manager =) plot's rather predictable w/ an occasional or sporadic amount of humour injected but overall it's certainly enjoyable & worth d time.

it appears that many french millionaires r obtaining belgium, swiss or russian citizenships so as to evade d exorbitant 75% tax. some even go as far as making sure not to stay longer than 5 mths lol. interesting..

unemployment rate in d eurozone hit 11.8% in nov 2012. meaning abt 19 million ppl do not have jobs, excluding greece. i wonder y there r guys out there in my country who r complaining abt d low wage rate for middle-lower class singaporean employees(SGD $1,800 & under). i dun suppose anyone would wish to be retrenched for d sake of their colleagues receiving a pay increment uh? 

& d salary disparity between d rich & poor isn't juz a local thinggy but rather, a global issue. Singapore has actually tackled this quite efficiently & its success will continue to augment as d end of this decade unfolds into 2020. if one really thinks he deserves a higher pay, then juz prove it meritocratically imo.

y does china even bother engaging in a dozen land disputes w/ a variety of countries like japan & malaysia etc? isn't it quite lame considering she's already got such a huge land mass? y dun they juz give it up & focus on improving their poorer provinces into world-class cities like beijing & shanghai? oh well i guess dat's a detriment dat they'll have to work round on their own.

it has become so strained it is utterly intolerable for me. she throws tantrums like a child, banging doors frequently & such, starting up speeches w/ "u never attend so&so rite?", "u late for this/that rite?" etc. zero knowledge on how to interact w/ her own son. yet she expects me to talk to her, much less share thots & ideals of mine w/ her? what the fuck? i've given her a billion chances of enduring her many stupid acts, given her a million hints on how i wouldn't mind opening up emotionally or communicating better if she would stop being such a dense log. since she refuses to listen to any of mine, then it's better dat she go look up my cousins or aunties for advice. an absolute horror of a human being to remain unrepentant & expect others to change. if she's gonna continue this way, then all i can & will do is return her 3x wad she has provided me since birth, dat is, money from my mthly income as filial piety's sake & save my feelings for someone else. this is juz borderline sensibility imo to deter me from implosion. honesty is self-protection.

of cuz.. i shudn't be influenced by any of them since these stories r juz for viewers' moments of escapism. tho i muz say i did learn a lot. for eg. 1% can also be said as "百分之一(bǎi fēn zhī yī)". ex boyfriend can be shortened & mentioned as "前男友(qián nán yǒu)" instead of 以前的男朋友. cool rite! k maybe it's juz me dat finds it surprising since my reading/writing of chinese is like dat of a 7-yr old kid. improving on speaking & listening is so much easier yup! besides, i dun rmb passing even my primary 2 spelling in chinese LMAO. 

but yea.. how mandarin is communicated in taiwan is different from how it is in china. juz like how english is in great britain & australia etc. quite easy for me to understand & identify altho i'm not all dat interested in contrastive linguistics stuff. juz wanna have funnnnn!!
