I Love Convenient Food

I’ve recently taken a liking to microwaveable foods.

It works like a charm how instantly ready for consumption they are. Not to mention the absence of having to go out and queue to buy a meal when I am feeling hungry but also lazy. You know how it is.

Macro-wise, I found this duck rice set from ntuc to be surprisingly nutritious! It’s not too expensive either considering hawker center stall owners have recently jacked up their cost by anywhere between 50¢ and a dollar for a meal.

I like these penne pasta from 7-11 but they don’t have much meat inside so I’ll usually add a few small slices of pork to compliment the sauce and mushrooms.

I can also cook some broccoli to go along with whatever I’m eating if I ever feel my body starting to lack some greens.

Oh and I don’t have to deal with dish washing post-meal either so that’s a BIG plus for me haha.

So yea.. highly recommend trying these types of convenient food at least once in your life

Easter Success at City Harvest Church

a little read
rids your mind of weeds
welcome to my impromptu article

-------

City Harvest Church brought the presence of God down to earth this weekend.

it's been six years since I last attended Easter church service, perhaps seven? i'm not sure maybe more, but I am glad to have broken the streak this year.

greeted with a world-class drama production titled "The J Factor", i could not help but be enamoured with the play. these actors and actresses are really impressive imo. the countless hours of memorizing, practicing, improvising, rehearsals and full dress rehearsals had led to this weekend for all to enjoy.

this could easily cost anywhere between $28 and $88 per pax at any theatre etc but it was completely free for everyone. obviously, i tithe every month so i'm honoured to play a tiny part in the church's weekly operation and providence.

this year's drama is certainly more impressive than previous years! i'll prolly say it again the next Easter I attend so yea.. nevermind haha. but it follows the same usual narrative as the bible story of Jesus except, with a slight deviation toward shining a spotlight on a director of a news agency, Abigail. i feel it helps retain a certain sense of intrigue to old and newcomers alike which is why fresh perspectives are always so useful.

from unbelief to revelation by sight and word-of-mouth, her life is transformed and before the good times were fully reveled in, she was blackmailed by the antagonist who is the chief pharisee in this plot. all in all, a remarkable performance imo.

after the show was the preaching by Pastor Bobby. the resurrection of Lazarus from the book of John in the beble at the outset led to a notable phrase yet also quite true "God may not be early, but He is never late. God is always on time."

"God specializes in the impossible," which I can also agree to what Pastor Bobby had proclaimed. our job is to believe whilst His is to do the impossible for us. simple truth bound by layers of depth for you to slowly peel and digest over the many years of your life. it's a good truth tbh

this was one of the few powerful testimonies that were shown and told by the Pastor. a miraculous healing journey from deficient by birth, marred by speech impediment, wholly maimed by cerebral haemorrhage yet transformed into a glistening brilliance of a man mirroring the glory of God. scoring As in high school and looking like a bright and worthy teenager who is able to help carry Singapore into the next generation.

snapshots of his alteration for the better. apologies if the image quality is bad my camera suck alright T.T. anyway i digress.. so this is what can happen when you believe and God do the impossible. healing of such magnitude and intricacy can not simply happen over time without the intervention of God's hand.

reminds me of a phrase I saw somewhere "a bruise reed He will not break.. but He will mend and..".

do you have a death in your career?
or a death in your relationship?
or perhaps a death in your emotions?
maybe a death in your omission of what is right?
or a death in your reputation by way of slander?
well.. God can do the impossible
if you only believe
at least that's my takeaway from church this week

look at how many people responded and went in front this Easter to receive this God of impossible miracles. truly, God was present that very hour. or if you don't believe in God, you could say that "goosebumps upon hair stands were present that very hour". cool with me no worries mate.

even tho out of the five friends i invited, two of which had dating and school plans, one had grandmother's birthday, one had family obligations and another had painting scheduled, despite all of that I could feel at ease that at the very least, they wouldn't come to me one month later saying "eh bojio.." =)

now will i be inclined to attend next year's Easter if possible? without a doubt

alright take care and stay awesome folks. loner out

Carousell Seller Despises Everyone Who Buys Discounted Items

It’s a bittersweet feeling to meet an abominable human being in such a lovely marketplace filled with tons of great people.

Carousell seller is upset I gave him 4/5 stars and proceeds to deploy oppressive online cyber-bullying type behaviour with a slew of verbal insinuations. Almost seems like he’s done it several times to other victims hence, his ability to so quickly dish out a few words and phrases in his arsenal which I’ve seen many kids and adult adolescents do as they presume these words deal damage when in a verbal battle or argument. Not to mention I have the right and freedom to my thoughts and reviews so why should I skew my rating because of his peasant level intimidation?

I did not know that looking for bargains when buying stuff makes me a failure in life and thus immediately qualifying this seller as more successful than I. So is he saying his 800 plus reviews from other buyers are nothing but a stepping stone to compensate for his lack of manners and civility? Is he saying that people who buy budget cars from Toyota and Hyundai are failures? Does he mean that people who buy two bottles of milk from ntuc due to discount are failures in life? Does he mean that all who shop on carousell, qoo10, taobao and many other sites which were created for the very purpose of bargain hunting and deals, does he mean they are all failures in life and that he is more successful than them? Wow

I don’t know how this gamersheaven dude can get away with such hideous deeds, possibly because he has tons of reviews, whether they were all willingly given I’m not sure,  but these reviews help act as a virtual hedge or mirage to subconsciously steer any reports on him into the wind. Sadly this is not carousell’s fault as it is only a platform for users to buy and sell. The fault lies in our society where such atrocities are tolerated and wise people(not me please I am no where near the truly wise folks) are too few to lift everyone up from poverty in morality.

In any case, I could have easily out-argued that pest but that would just lead to a few things-he will pretend to not care but secretly use my tactics against other future victims, he will build up some immunity to future similar verbal weaponry and I would have effectively wasted more of my precious time giving him free lessons to up-ing his game. so no thanks i decided to end it there and block that swine.

do not misunderstand tho.. there are tons of fantastic people in Carousell and this fella as abovementioned is simply an outlier going through a season of growth in his life so cheers.
